It's ironic that when there is a natural disaster, people say "Oh! that was an act of God." How so, I say? Do you mean that God sits up in the sky and commands nature to wreak havoc?
Whats so funny is, that in the context of nature being one with the "Tao," "Great Spirit," or whatever is a comfortable name for you. It might well be called an act of god, in a natural sense. Not with thought out vengeance, or purposeful harm, but as an act of the planet being herself. Of course mother earth when confronted with pollution, wars, and general destruction of her resources, would react like any living organism, and proceed to correct things.
How this is done, might be revealing itself. Of course there has always been natural occurrences. But when people get in the way, it becomes a disaster. Some things to consider are, over population, and what that population does to remain in harmony with the natural order of things. Balance inside may equal balance outside.
