ABOUT THUNDERHANDS

About Me: "Wakiya" (Thunder)
I am a Tribal, Musician, Writer, Artist. I try to walk the path and have studied the tradition of the "Wisdom keepers" like Lame Deer, Fools Crow, Black Elk, and Rolling Thunder from the tribes of this region, and Lao Tzu, Buddha, Bodhidharma, Yeshua, and other enlightened ones from the many various tribes of the earth. I understand the worlds religions and belief systems, and realize the division this can cause by the lack of understanding the "real message" from the Masters. My intention, and life's prayer is to try to live in harmony with Grandmother Earth, Grandfather sky, (Nature) and "the spirit that moves in all things," and help in any way I can to build a bridge between all men and tribes so they can walk their path in a manner that will benefit themselves, the Earth and others. I open up, and ask Great Spirit, The creator, The Tao, The Universe, to work and direct healing and positive energy through me by different means, like the Flute, drums, Words, Prayer, and Touch. I try to be loving and accept others from the heart, and practice forgiveness. I honor all people, the winged one's, and four legged ones considering us all equal, not one being above another. I honor the bountiful Harvest from Mother earth in the form of plant life, water, air and herbs which sustain our oneness with her. I pray all tribes should re-unite as one, so we may protect the planet and live in harmony. Within you, without you.

People In Panic, and their dependence on Government and the Media.

Earlier in my posts this month I talked about being of the world but not in it. "The world" is in a panic about money and the economy. What does it say when people feel the need to e-mail the media and ask them what to do? What's needed is a spiritual perspective on the ebb and flow of life, including money and material things. With the majority of people in this life having some form of religious or spiritual upbringing, this question begs to be answered. Why do they depend so much on government (political figures), and the Media, to supply them with consolation and or protection? Have these entities become their God. Their is no solace in taking refuge in a house that is falling apart.

Just a few key words and phrases come to mind from various spiritual traditions. Don't store up your treasures where rust and moths can consume them. Practice non-attachment to everything including your own body on a daily basis, or at least think about it. The Tao Te Ching speaks of change and cycles and how inevitable these things are. The time has come to ask if your are watching this from a detached position or are you getting caught up in a struggle against inevitability's. Making the Government, the media, and even external religions your basis for protection and spiritual solace is maybe not the best approach. We all are tempted to get caught up in vicissitudes of life, yours truly included. In a nutshell this make things more painful. The Government, media, and religion are like the wizard of Oz. Much ado about nothing. In other words for all practical purposes, look behind the face they are wearing.

Has past history indicated anything other then propagation of falsehood, lies and deceit? Is this something you can count on when the chips are down? The bottom line is to start today with a new realization, and that is that everything you need is within you. Look inside not outside. The kingdom of heaven is within, if you will. Meditation, prayer, and genuine reflection are my recommendation. Go to the well of spirituality and solace within, because out in the world promises made are not promises kept. My prayers and thoughts are with my fellow man, and my hopes are that this will be an awakening of some sort as to what the real priorities are in life. Don't get caught up in "Maya" or the illusion we call life.
