ABOUT THUNDERHANDS

About Me: "Wakiya" (Thunder)
I am a Tribal, Musician, Writer, Artist. I try to walk the path and have studied the tradition of the "Wisdom keepers" like Lame Deer, Fools Crow, Black Elk, and Rolling Thunder from the tribes of this region, and Lao Tzu, Buddha, Bodhidharma, Yeshua, and other enlightened ones from the many various tribes of the earth. I understand the worlds religions and belief systems, and realize the division this can cause by the lack of understanding the "real message" from the Masters. My intention, and life's prayer is to try to live in harmony with Grandmother Earth, Grandfather sky, (Nature) and "the spirit that moves in all things," and help in any way I can to build a bridge between all men and tribes so they can walk their path in a manner that will benefit themselves, the Earth and others. I open up, and ask Great Spirit, The creator, The Tao, The Universe, to work and direct healing and positive energy through me by different means, like the Flute, drums, Words, Prayer, and Touch. I try to be loving and accept others from the heart, and practice forgiveness. I honor all people, the winged one's, and four legged ones considering us all equal, not one being above another. I honor the bountiful Harvest from Mother earth in the form of plant life, water, air and herbs which sustain our oneness with her. I pray all tribes should re-unite as one, so we may protect the planet and live in harmony. Within you, without you.

Inspired conversation

I have two close friends I met at Starbucks. A man and a black lady, that are someone I believe to be spiritually in tune. We can talk to one another about things other then some of the the mundane stuff you hear every day. The conclusions we have come to are interesting, and sometimes astounding. Its good to get together with people of like mind, it seems to raise the spiritual vibe. The man is the one I wrote about in my article "Miracles do happen." To refresh your memory he is the one who survived the rock crashing through his windshield. As I said before, he is a peaceful gentle soul that got a taste of instant enlightenment through his experience. He also at one time before the accident was involved with the Hollywood community and has worked on scores of movies, and rubbed shoulders with some of the most well known actors in the film industry. But now seems to be content with being who he is at the moment. Which is a low profile spiritual seeker. He also wants to do a documentary on medicine men, and holy men, from the Native American culture. He turned me on to a book called Rolling Thunder, a medicine man who was a brakeman for the southern pacific railway who was an ordinary type guy, but wasn't really. One relevant book I somehow missed. He (my friend at starbucks) was I believe, sent to me from great spirit. He Walked up to me and said your' thunderhands, which surprised me. From that time on, we became close. My point is we were all talking about books, holy men, and life in general. We all agreed that some times spiritual knowledge can be contained in a book, if its the right one, or through writings, that are really vibrations. Other so called books or claims by books don't resonate with higher self or spirit. In the end its all up to us, whether a source of input is empowering or not. So reject or permit, by going to your higher self.

Some things we touched on were. That the stuff going on around us in the world can throw us off balance, no matter how detached from it we try to remain. The lady I spoke of in the group made a interesting comment, that we are all instruments through who god (or whatever name you prefer), uses to play his tune. We have to be open to receiving spirit and letting it flow through us, and keeping us centered. Its like a musician who doesn't have to think about what he or she plays, but gets out of their own way and just lets things happen. Kind of like watching your body play an instrument effortlessly with out even trying. We have to let go and be directed or used as an instrument of healing and empowerment to our fellow man. Of course the ego wants to control all of this and usually manages to get in the way. Sometimes it even wants to block the good, which is of course self limiting, or stopping the flow. All of us are living in this world but in spiritual sense, some may not want to be a part of it. This can be uncomfortable at times, and striking a balance can seem daunting. But having good friends around that speak in the same language, or from a more, shall I say, enlightened viewpoint is healing. So no matter what level you are on, or you think other's are on, remain humble and ready to receive. I wish to thank my friends for inspiring me to write today, and hope I did our conversation justice.

This is a very telling post...it seems that you are very much rooted in your relationship with 'great spirit.. even to the point of recognizing that your new friends are
both manifestations of that spirit... there will come a day when you realize that you are yourself that spirit, but in the meantime you have what you need in each other... you probably already know that Chuang Tzu is an unmatched guide to your essential identity as spirit.

"the stuff going on around us in the world can throw us off balance, no matter how detached from it we try to remain."

consider the alternative notion that efforts at detachment are precisely what throw us off balance. hard to get out of your own way when you are busy being detached.

don't assume that being an instrument necessarily means being a healer... an instrument is there for whatever spirit wants to play... and spirit has a long list of priorities... it is precisely by such preconceptions about what spirit wants, that we get in the way of free expression... getting out of the way means just that... and you are right it can be quite uncomfortable at times, especially when spirit has you doing something you hadn't anticipated...

you appear to be in very good hands... a fact you can learn to trust completely as you surrender to it...
