Hope for the Planet?

There has been a lot of discussion lately since the rise of certain politicians about hope for the future. And I must say people like Barack Obama do seem to be on a different track then the old school politicians. But politicians are Politicians, unless other wise shown to be different. I have also noticed some shows on cable news are using "Sixties type phrases" to describe whats going on right now, and for their t.v. specials. I try to remain optimistic about these trends, but the sad truth is things are so far out of balance, or control that it is going to take a herculean effort to try to undo the trend that mankind perpetuated on himself.

Some think it might be possible to balance the energy, atmosphere, financial situations, and other disastrous events that we find ourselves in. Lets put it this way. For this to happen all the scientists, people, and activists that know the truth, would have to be given free reign by the governments to try to correct the situation. The problem is, that the government, lobbyists, and special interests, aren't predisposed to allowing these people to make the environmental laws, changes, etc. that are needed not today, but yesterday.

We ARE behind the eight ball. Some people might liken this to, trying to fly a kite in an f-5 tornado. My opinion is that mother earth has already taken things into her own hands because of the insulting treatment that the inhabitants on the planet have allowed to happen. This is very apparent if you take a moment to look around, and if you listen to the "Green" scientists that are in the know. The model's that were designed to watch destructive trends are all showing that the time lines originally thought to be decades away are happening now. Major changes are taking place now and fast. Things are turning sour quickly. Mother earth will survive, but the people on it might not do as well. This concerns me because I want the best for all on the planet, and my Grandchildren.

In the sixties we changed things by action, and a huge shift in consciousness which took place on a higher spiritual level. Are people prepared to do what we did back then? We created a revolution of sorts, but today we would be labeled as terrorists. The laws that kept us from being unjustly jailed for long periods of time, and treated somewhat fairly, are no longer in existence. With the erosion of all our freedoms through new legislation, and so-called anti-terrorist laws like "The patriot Act", make a sixties type revolution, virtually impossible. Perhaps it will force us to raise our consciousness so high that we change things outside of us by sheer spiritual force, or psychic projection of thoughts. As above so below!

Sound far fetched? Not really. Read some of the books by Gregg Braden, and others. Quantum Physics, the string theory, and other scientific discoveries have shown that the observer can affect the observed. The power we all have with our minds is awesome. Maybe its time for everyone to meditate, use Chi Gong, Tai chi, prayer, and other spiritual practices to channel the energy of the universe for our good. If nothing else, we can try to balance ourselves so that we will be prepared on a spiritual level for whatever events occur around us.
