"Don't fuss with the heart and mind. It can be pushed down or boosted up, but up or down is a prison, a death sentence for heart and mind. Pliant to the soft and gentle or hard, heart and mind can cut, carve, and polish. Its heat can burn fire; it's cold freezes ice. It's so quick that in the space of a nod it can flit twice beyond the four circling seas and back again. Its dwelling place is the silence of the source. It's motion is the drape of constellations whirling down the sky. It's a racing courser, beyond being bound. No more than this, is the human heart and mind."
-The essential Chuang Tzu
