Two barn storming pilots meet in a field, one learns that the other seems odd but shrugs it off. But as time goes on Richard the first pilot asks the other Barnstormer Donald Shimoda, why he never has Bugs on his windshield, and why he seems to never need gas. And how does he make these unbelievable landings in such short spaces.
One thing leads to another and Richard finds out that his long haired friend is more then what meets the eye. For a clue! The sub title of this book is "Adventures of a reluctant Messiah." It is a book that can change your life, and your whole way of looking at things. It deals with the reality or unreality that surrounds us all, in a simple heart warming manner.
But don't let the comical and some times down right fun nature of this book fool you. For it delves deep into the mystery of the messiah and creator within us all. I have had this book for 25 years and was attracted to it as a fledgling pilot. But I can't tell you how many times I have given this book away. When the student is ready the master appears, sometimes in a book. The blue feather is significant in this book.
