ABOUT THUNDERHANDS

About Me: "Wakiya" (Thunder)
I am a Tribal, Musician, Writer, Artist. I try to walk the path and have studied the tradition of the "Wisdom keepers" like Lame Deer, Fools Crow, Black Elk, and Rolling Thunder from the tribes of this region, and Lao Tzu, Buddha, Bodhidharma, Yeshua, and other enlightened ones from the many various tribes of the earth. I understand the worlds religions and belief systems, and realize the division this can cause by the lack of understanding the "real message" from the Masters. My intention, and life's prayer is to try to live in harmony with Grandmother Earth, Grandfather sky, (Nature) and "the spirit that moves in all things," and help in any way I can to build a bridge between all men and tribes so they can walk their path in a manner that will benefit themselves, the Earth and others. I open up, and ask Great Spirit, The creator, The Tao, The Universe, to work and direct healing and positive energy through me by different means, like the Flute, drums, Words, Prayer, and Touch. I try to be loving and accept others from the heart, and practice forgiveness. I honor all people, the winged one's, and four legged ones considering us all equal, not one being above another. I honor the bountiful Harvest from Mother earth in the form of plant life, water, air and herbs which sustain our oneness with her. I pray all tribes should re-unite as one, so we may protect the planet and live in harmony. Within you, without you.

Watch this mini series,,, please! / We shall Remain

I just saw the first episode on Monday of "we shall Remain" a excellent series (so far) on the plight and extermination of the original inhabitants of this land we call America. The history we were taught as children with the slanted history books and teachers is not the same history seen here. In viewing the first episode concerning the arrival of the mayflower and other European vessels on these shores, I experienced a sickening emotional feeling coupled with sadness and anger.

A beautiful people living in harmony and at one with a pristine land were suddenly invaded by dirty, grumbling, sickly, religious fanatics. The chief of the band of Indians welcomed them and offered them food and bounty. Treaty's were made only to be broken, greed and fear proceeded to take reign. The natives were exposed to things that were later to become harmful to them. Like the disease and plagues brought upon them by an exposure to germs they had not experienced before.

The practice of Christianity and religious icons were forced upon the natives and they were made to conform to dress codes, and have their beautiful long hair cut off. They became confused because of the teachings. They always considered themselves one with the earth, and now they were told that they were separate. This series shows all that is wrong with American and the world for that matter. Surprisingly it covers the beginning of trade and the depletion of natural resources as well. As will be seen, the goal of the European invaders was genocide and mass extermination of the beautiful original inhabitants of this land.

Other topics will be covered including Geronimo, the take over of wounded knee in the sixties by the A.I.M. movement, and other eye opening events! What we have here is a country built on greed, obliteration, and forced beliefs. This not a slanted series but finally reveals the truth of the matter,,,it's about time! Please watch "We shall Remain" on your local public broadcasting channel on Monday nights. Click here for more info and check your local listings. -Thunderhands
