ABOUT THUNDERHANDS

About Me: "Wakiya" (Thunder)
I am a Tribal, Musician, Writer, Artist. I try to walk the path and have studied the tradition of the "Wisdom keepers" like Lame Deer, Fools Crow, Black Elk, and Rolling Thunder from the tribes of this region, and Lao Tzu, Buddha, Bodhidharma, Yeshua, and other enlightened ones from the many various tribes of the earth. I understand the worlds religions and belief systems, and realize the division this can cause by the lack of understanding the "real message" from the Masters. My intention, and life's prayer is to try to live in harmony with Grandmother Earth, Grandfather sky, (Nature) and "the spirit that moves in all things," and help in any way I can to build a bridge between all men and tribes so they can walk their path in a manner that will benefit themselves, the Earth and others. I open up, and ask Great Spirit, The creator, The Tao, The Universe, to work and direct healing and positive energy through me by different means, like the Flute, drums, Words, Prayer, and Touch. I try to be loving and accept others from the heart, and practice forgiveness. I honor all people, the winged one's, and four legged ones considering us all equal, not one being above another. I honor the bountiful Harvest from Mother earth in the form of plant life, water, air and herbs which sustain our oneness with her. I pray all tribes should re-unite as one, so we may protect the planet and live in harmony. Within you, without you.

The red tailed hawk-visionary and messenger

The red tailed hawk carries the roll of visionary and messenger. This honorable totem brings guidance and helps us to see the big picture. It is a symbol of illumination. This special friend offers a channel and direct contact with great spirit. The treasures offered by the Red Tailed Hawk are sacred and of a higher calling. We might emulate the Hawk by showing precision and a sharp mind in our hunt for wisdom along the red road.

Red Tailed Hawk’s Power is further represented by the beautiful red color that comes with maturity. With maturity comes wisdom, which takes time. Our own Wisdom like the color of the Red Tailed Hawk is something that comes with time.

About: The two legged (man) counterpart of the Hawk. (We are all one)

The Red Tailed Hawk will contact and appear to the Two-Legged (man) whose own gift of vision may be acute enough to make the connection. These "kindred" two legged souls are quite literally able to "see and feel things" just like the Hawk, and are unknown to others. A connection with The Hawk is also done by prayer and ritual in the proper manner. Hawks appear to carry your prayers to great spirit, or to let you know the prayers are heard.

The Red Tailed Hawk's kindred counterpart, has the ability to pierce the veil that separates falsehood from truth. They will also possess an intensive gaze that can leave those who might find themselves the object of such a gaze, in awe of the penetrating "soul" stare.

Equally, the Red Tailed Hawk person, will have the ability to view the broad picture, in much the same fashion that a Hawk can gain a wide view of their surroundings while soaring on the unseen currents of wind as they ride the sky. Just as a hawk is a hunter and warrior, we must be also. A hunter for truth, and a realization of it. One truth is that all things happen for a reason, and it will be this awareness of the "Big Picture," that will assist both themselves, and those whom they share their gift of keen insight with, through many a difficult time.

Among Native American traditions, Hawk served the role of bringer of messages and portents of change. Hawk is a confirmation of going in the right direction, or leading you that way.

As we each strive to grow and change in new directions, we are reminded of the lesson of the many roads of Life. Each of us will walk on, and travel many roads, until we reach the red road. All humans have the opportunity of healing him or her self, the planet, and others. Not all hear the calling. The inner peace of self-healing can restore our Sacred Space and that of All Our Relations (mitakuye Oyasin). In accomplishing this common goal we will bring world peace into reality.

"My heart thanks great spirit for sending my friend the Red Tailed Hawk, and for being persistent in his effort to provide me with a sign, that confirms to me the right direction."
